dystopian fiction and the reality of air

i found dis bit of crafted narrative on "Wired" you know that political narrative crap, posing as a tech blog.....

Her new book, This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs. The Climate, argues that only dramatic policy shifts can avert climate catastrophe, and that ordinary people need to speak up and demand emissions caps, public transportation, and a transition to renewable energy. That’s a hard sell politically, which is why dubious measures like geoengineering and cap-and-trade have been proposed instead.  *excerpt from:
Dystopian Fiction’s Popularity Is a Warning Sign for the Future
so, bein' the ferret dat i am, i will translate the definitions of these terms out of the context of code speak, and into the realm of reality away from the crafted narrative.....

emissions caps:  leave the U.S. in the vulnerable position of a service sector society that doesn't "make anything"

public transportation:  spend hundreds of millions of dollars per mile so rich white people are guaranteed their maids can come clean their houses on time

renewable energy:  any company that Al Gore owns stock in; after all, he did win the Nobel Prize for putting together a powerpoint presentation

capitalism is here to stay... without it we'd all be riding donkeys down to the open air meat market, swatting flies and maggots off the goat meat folks...

i am not going to waste my life making myself miserable and ranting about the environment ~ you are welcome to take the adult approach here, and block me, and call me names...

Merry Christmas!!
